Consent for Treatment

A written signature is required to provide consent for treatment. This can be completed at the bottom of your Ear Health Assessment & Consent form during your appointment.

Although complications during ear wax removal using micro-suction are extremely rare, potential risks and side effects include:

  • Incomplete removal of ear wax, necessitating a follow-up appointment (fees apply). This may occur in cases of impacted wax, wax pushed further into the canal, or if the client cannot remain still.

Other potential risks include:

  • Vertigo or nausea

  • Temporary increase in tinnitus

  • Discomfort

  • Hearing loss

  • Ear canal trauma (e.g., perforation of the eardrum, minor bleeding)

To minimise the risk of complications, it is essential that you provide accurate medical history during your initial assessment. If your health status changes at any time, please inform our nursing staff to ensure your treatment is based on current, accurate information. Additionally, it is crucial that you remain as still as possible during the procedure, as sudden movements can increase the likelihood of complications.

Payment Terms

The fees for appointments are listed on our website and will be outlined in the informed consent form. Payment for services is due immediately following the procedure. Golden Nurses Pty Ltd does not offer credit accounts.
